In Memoriam: Ellen Sautter

Career Professionals in Atlanta lost one our most impactful contributors with the death of Ellen Sautter on December 9, 2016. She had battled cancer for 10 years and worked steadily as a Career Coach and Consultant for Right Management up until the last two months of her life. She loved her work and the people she served.

Ellen served on the Board of GCDA and helped bring new speakers and presenters to our programming.

Ellen was co-author with Diane Crompton of two books on social media and careers--"Find A Job Through Social Networking: Use LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Blogs, and More to Advance Your Career" (JIST Publishing) and "Seven Days to Online Networking: Make Connections to Advance Your Career and Business Quickly" (JIST Publishing).

Ellen worked for Right Management for over 12 years as a career coach and consultant. During her time there she influenced over 12,000 people who were looking for jobs. An excellent workshop facilitator and coach, Ellen was genuine in all her dealings. Behind her amazing competence was a wonderful spirit of caring for each person she encountered. She was called by one of her colleagues as the “Mother Teresa” of Right Management.

Prior to Right Management, Ellen worked as a career consultant for Manchester and EnterChange and in marketing and PR for The Odyssey Group. Ellen and her husband Al owned a recruiting business before 1995. She was predeceased by her husband, Al, and son, Carl, and is survived by her daughter Carol.
