How is it the folks who are charged with helping others with their career questions rarely reflect on their own career and career path?  Join Diane Fennig for an interactive session uncovering her Top Ten Career Strategies for review and discussion by her fellow career coaches, counselors and consultants.  This dynamic discussion will get this group of career professionals focusing some time and attention on their personal career plan and next steps. You owe it to yourself and your clients to be the best you can be!

Diane Fennig brings more than 25 years of career development and management experience, working in association with universities and higher education systems to a new Executive Search endeavor. She has done extensive work in career and personal development throughout her tenure.

Diane’s career has been focused on creating opportunities and seeking talent through her roles in Career Management and Student Services.  Her history as a Georgian began as Director of the Career Center at Augusta State University where she developed and implemented a comprehensive Alumni Career Services Program and authored GeorgiaHire.com, a shared resume database program, for the then 34 institutions within the University System of Georgia.

Diane then joined the Board of Regents Economic Development team to promote the GeorgiaHire.com project to employers and college career centers throughout the university system. Subsequently, she was named Director of GeorgiaHire.com. In 2001, she was also named to the 40-under-40 list of Georgia TREND Magazine.

At Georgia State University, she served the Robinson College of Business as the Director of Graduate Student Services, hosting one of the largest MBA programs for working professionals as well as a number of distinctive Master’s programs. She worked as a faculty partner, where she implemented an MBA curriculum re-design, created a Professional Development Series for her students, and was instrumental in infusing community among graduate students. Her experience in talent search and development are key to her success with The Human Capital Group.

Diane joined The Human Capital Group in July of 2009 and has incorporated her extensive network with her keen sense of talent sourcing for a new role in Executive Search.   Clients to date have included Higher Education and Business School partners along with Non-Profits and Hospital Associations.  Our mission within The Human Capital Group is to guide and support our client companies in delivering sustained business results by focusing on how they acquire, develop, invest in, and retain leaders. Our efforts are guided by a focused, thorough, efficient, and values-based approach to Retained Executive Search and Leadership Consulting.  Our value proposition is simple and powerful with our success factors being Speed, Quality and Value.

Diane earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Secondary Education from Marquette University and a Master of Science degree in College Student Personnel from Miami University. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Educational Leadership and Organizational Behavior from the University of South Carolina. Diane is also a graduate of the Relationship Masters Academy and continues to serve as an Ambassador.  This program, designed by Keith Ferrazzi bestselling author of the books, Never Eat Alone and Who’s Got My Back, has become a best practice in Relationship Management.  Diane is also a guest blogger for The Chronicle of Higher Education on the areas of Search and Career Strategies.
